The Property
The property comprises a historic mansion dating back to the 18th century, which frequently hosted Portuguese Royalty.
A small historic estate workers village lies nearby.
It currently comprises of 30 hotel rooms with the capacity to expand to 100 rooms (16,500 Sq.m) and 28 branded residence villas (9000 Sq.m). The 42 hectares of agricultural land also produce grapes, olives, almonds, oranges, lemons, cherries, figs and cork trees
The project is truly one of a kind as the Douro Valley region has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and therefore approval for development is highly restricted.
The property currently produces 100-120 Barrels of wine annually (Equivalent to 85,000 to 90,000 bottles) split between Port, white and red wine. Production volume can be increased to 150,000 bottles in a fully equipped and operational off-site winery.
